Explanations of core concepts in ultrasound physics and clinical echocardiography
Opportunity to engage directly with the teacher in order to resolve doubts in understanding of these core concepts
Opportunity to be part of a learning community that have a shared value for what is being taught
HOW TO USE THIS COURSE
Two lessons will be posted at the start of each week - 1 Physics lesson and 1 Clinical Echocardiography lesson
Watch the lesson and engage in an activity that helps you concentrate (e.g., taking notes, find clinical examples, etc.)
Review the learning objectives to be sure that you have achieved those objectives and write down any clarifying questions if you have any doubts
Engage in discussion through (1) direct private messaging to the teacher or co-learners, (2) posting public discussion, and (3) attending the end of the week virtual review session
WHAT THIS COURSE IS NOT
This course is not a rotation in echocardiography
The course will not be case based and will not showcase images; rather, the primary intent is to convey the concepts and measurement techniques to the learner with the intent that the learner returns to the laboratory setting to then engage in the practical scope of the discipline
